Winnipeg, Man., July 06 – With an inventory count of over 33,000 farm equipment pieces and the largest agriculture equipment inventory in Canada, AGDealer has enhanced the farmer’s equipment purchasing experience by launching a new mobile app.

AGDealer’s mobile app offers farmers quick access to all types of farm equipment in an effort to build the most trusted equipment marketplace for farmers and dealers. With over 1.7M visits already in 2022, the team decided to further develop their platform by offering an app to make shopping for agricultural equipment easier and more efficient.

“AGDealer is all about making it easier for farmers to locate the equipment they need, when they need it”, says Executive Vice-President, Marketplace Products, Ryan Green. “Our talented team has moved from a mobile-first to a mobile-best methodology to make it easier for farmers to find and source the right equipment in those micro-moments throughout the day.”

The mobile app is just one of many new enhancements that have been added recently to create a better overall user experience. Other enhancements include equipment search alerts, ensuring the farmer never misses out on the right equipment; updated search and filter capabilities to make it easier to find and filter results quickly; larger photos throughout; and a completely new AGDealerTV video series experience.

“There has been a fundamental shift in consumer behaviour over the past 15 years. The way in which the public accesses information, consumes content and conducts commerce is almost exclusively completed via mobile devices; and more specifically, through mobile apps,” says Devon Davidson, marketing manager at Robertson Implements. “As the internet shifts to ‘Web 3.0’, mobile apps and technology will play a key role in bridging the gap between the digital (virtual/augmented reality) and physical worlds. I am confident the AGDealer mobile app will improve the buying experience for producers and alter the way in which equipment dealers and AGDealer conduct business.”

Mark Akins, a farmer from the Drinkwater area in Saskatchewan says “Being a farmer in search of equipment definitely has its challenges. Every farmer’s land is unique – there’s no one size fits all when it comes to investing in the right technology for your operation. With the current supply chain shortages, equipment that is available doesn’t stay available for long. I think the AGDealer mobile app will help farmers to move more quickly in their search for the right piece of equipment for their
farm.”

During Ag in Motion, July 19-21, 2022, AGDealer will be showcasing the new app with a contest that gives attendees a chance to win a gift card. The contest will be held at the AGDealer booth in the Scotiabank Farm Pavilion during the event.

Earlier this year AGDealer also made an entry into the U.S. market where they are working directly with leading equipment dealers in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota to showcase their equipment to farmers on both sides of the
border. With a focus on helping farmers source the right equipment for their farm, AGDealer is committed to bringing more farmers together with the largest inventory of equipment for sale.

The AGDealer app is now available in both the Apple App and Google Play stores.

With upwards of 350,000 copies distributed each month, AGDealer is Canada’s largest used farm equipment shopper publication. AGDealer is a part of Glacier FarmMedia and has been in business for 24 years. It is published bi-weekly in Western Canada and monthly in Eastern Canada with provincial editions from Alberta to Atlantic Canada, including a French version, Agricole Ideal, published in Quebec. In addition, the print publication is supported by www.agdealer.com which lists over 33,000 pieces of used farm equipment making it the #1 online destination for farmers in search of farm equipment.
