Langham, SK, October 8, 2025 – Welcome to the Farm Show kicks off its second season with a timely and critical question facing farmers across the Prairies: “To Store or to Sell?”. This episode captures the intensity and opportunities Canadian farmers face. The new season features four episodes, each spotlighting pressing issues and inspiring stories from the western Canadian outdoor farm show Ag in Motion.
This year, uncertainty looms larger than ever with rapid changes in markets, shifting political landscapes and unpredictable weather patterns forcing producers to weigh difficult decisions about their hard-earned harvest. Should they sell now or hold their grain in storage?
Episode 1: To Store or to Sell? dives into these challenges with insights directly from Ag in Motion. Presented by Cargill, the episode features an in-depth interview with Ed Broschinski, lead grain market analyst with Cargill, who provides valuable perspective on market signals, forecasts and the practical storage options available to farmers today.
“Keeping up with the markets is a full-time job right now,” says Broschinski. “Not only is a farmer now a mechanic, a logistics coordinator, an accountant … now they’ve got to be a market analyst, and they’ve got to predict things that are going to happen in the future in a very uncertain market. Being at Ag in Motion allows me to really talk about what matters to farmers, one on one.”
The goal of the series is not only to share stories from Ag in Motion but also to remind farmers that they are not facing these challenges alone. By showcasing the voices of producers, analysts and industry leaders at Ag in Motion, Welcome to the Farm Show reflects the conversations and community that are central to Canadian agriculture.
Over the course of three days, more than 30,000 farmers, exhibitors and industry leaders gather at Ag in Motion, Western Canada’s largest outdoor farm expo. It’s here, among the 2025 live demonstrations and field-scale equipment displays, where Welcome to the Farm Show was filmed.
Season 2, Episode 1: To Store or to Sell? is now available to watch here with more episodes scheduled for release in the upcoming months.
